HISTORY
After earning a degree in business management, I decided to attend cosmetology school. I've always had an eye for knowing how to bring out someone's best facial features with how they wear their hair.
After getting my cosmetology license in the U.S., I went to England where my brother lives to attend Sassoon and Toni & Guy academies for continued education to specialize in hair color and cut. Through the years I have participated as an educator doing platform work for several top hair product brands. I have also worked with some of the best hairstylists in the world. My passion is coloring and hair cutting, and I love when my clients leave the salon with a big smile. I have been a salon owner since 1994. I started my education without even knowing it. As a child I was always fascinated watching my mother,s hairdresser. I also watched my father, who was educated to do hair but didn't pursue it as a career, cut my brothers hair. My grandmother was a hairdresser as well, so I guess you could say it's genetic. And yes of course I chopped off Barbies hair. Very early on I decided to become a hairdresser.
Right out of high school I attended cosmetology school and been licensed since I was 19. I have continued my hairdressing education with classes, shows, and shadowing other hairdressers. Over the years, I've done hair for fashion shows, formal dances, and weddings. Before having my kids, I contracted to do bridal hairstyling with The Wedding Experience, a company that coordinated cruise ship weddings. I love all aspects of hairdressing. I do haircuts, creative color, smoothing treatments, hair extensions, feathers and special occasion styling. I love going to hair shows to pick up new ideas that I can apply in the salon. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope to meet you soon. -Angela Rains-Kharrazi |
